Long Term Disability

Serious illnesses or accidents can come out of nowhere. They can interrupt your life, and your ability to work for months ? even years. ?As Part of the IBT?team, each employee?is provided long term disability coverage that can pay up to 60% of your income, not to exceed $6,500 per monthly benefit. ?Benefits begin after?the 180th day and last until you can either return to work or reach normal social security retirement age. ?The benefit paid to you upon a covered disability are taxed.

For employees that have worked for IBT for at least 2 consecutive years and are benefit eligible, you are also provided with Salary Continuation Benefits before your Long Term Disability Coverage takes effect. ?This benefits begins after a 28 day elimination period and then IBT provides you with 60% of your base salary up until you return to work are reach the 180th day.

This coverage is provided to you at no cost to you the employee -?100% of the premiums are paid for by IBT!
